Make The Climb For A Cure! 5 Ways To Get Involved With Breast Cancer Awareness Month at WonderWorks Destiny.<\/h2>\n

\"SyracuseOctober is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so many families across Central New York will be seeking unique ways to get involved. WonderWorks Destiny is inviting the community to do just that at their upside-down attraction during the month of October 2024. WonderWorks has a month of fundraising events and activities<\/strong> planned to recognize the impacts this disease has on many families.<\/p>\n

“Join us in taking on the fight against breast cancer! We’ve got tons of exciting activities and opportunities to donate lined up for Breast Cancer Awareness Month here at WonderWorks. This is a cause that is very near and dear to my heart!\u201d said Paige Perry, sales manager at WonderWorks Destiny.<\/p>\n

Most people know someone who has been touched by breast cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute<\/a>, women will face an estimated over 310,000 new breast cancer cases<\/strong> in 2024. They report that breast cancer is the second most common form of cancer in women, and mammograms can detect cancer early, even before it has spread.<\/p>\n

WonderWorks Destiny is spending the month of October bringing awareness to these important issues and providing visitors with various ways to donate and join the fight. Here are five things<\/strong> guests can do to recognize the month:<\/p>\n

1) Climb For A Cure<\/strong>
\nFrom October 2-6, 2024, guests can take on the Climb for a Cure Challenge at WonderWorks\u2019 indoor, suspended ropes course<\/a>, which hangs over the Canyon area of Destiny USA. Guests who challenge themselves on the Canyon Climb Ropes Course and donate up to $5 to Making Strides of Syracuse will receive a breast cancer awareness ribbon and WonderWorks sticker to display proudly. All funds will be matched by WonderWorks at the end of the week and donated to the event! *Closed-toed shoes required to climb.<\/p>\n

2) HOPE Wall<\/strong>
\nParticipate in the HOPE Wall from October 9-13, 2024, to help create community art and spread awareness. Guests can use the project to share their stories and hopeful messages to breast cancer patients, survivors and families. All are invited to share their photos of the project on social media using #wonderfulhope<\/strong> to spread the message further.<\/p>\n

3) Card-Making<\/strong>
\nPut your artistic skills to use at the pop-up card-making station in the lobby from October 16-20, 2024. Guests are invited to make cards for those who have been touched by breast cancer, including survivors, patients, families, and healthcare workers.<\/p>\n

\"Syracuse4) Attend Making Strides of Syracuse<\/strong>
\nLace up and participate in the Making Strides of Syracuse<\/a> event at Clinton Square on October 20, 2024. WonderWorks has partnered with Making Strides of Syracuse by raising money for the event. In addition to a round-up program at admissions, WonderWorks will also be donating 5% of proceeds from their new “Think Pink” shirts to the fundraiser. Shirts can be purchased in the upside-down lobby, giving people a way to show their support all year round.<\/p>\n

5) Survivor Ticket Giveaway<\/strong>
\nKeep an eye on the WonderWorks Facebook page<\/a> for a special ticket giveaway at the end of the month. Locals will be able to nominate a deserving breast cancer survivor to win a family pack of tickets!<\/p>\n
