WonderWorks Art Contest 2025-2026<\/h1>\n

Each year, WonderWorks accepts art submissions from North and South Carolina students to be featured in the ART-OLINA: Youth Art Gallery of the Carolinas<\/strong> located inside WonderWorks Myrtle Beach – the Upside-Down Building. WonderWorks is proud to expand its illusion art gallery with a special section for budding young artists.<\/p>\n

This year’s contest theme is: America the Beautiful<\/font><\/strong>
\nWinners On Display NOW!<\/h4>\n

July 4th, 2026, will mark 250 years of American independence! Young artists are invited to salute our country\u2019s monumental birthday by getting creative. Show off what you love most about America & its history, whether that’s our innovation, the National Parks, the Stars and Stripes, the accomplishments in human spaceflight, or beyond. Stretch your imagination from sea to shining sea!<\/p>\n

Application Deadline: Applications for this year’s contest have closed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Submission Guidelines:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Artwork can be no larger than 18\u201d X 24\u201d and must be able to be placed in a flat frame (i.e., no raised canvases, 3D elements or sculptures).<\/li>\n
  • Digital artwork is not eligible.<\/li>\n
  • A photo of your artwork must be uploaded with your application.<\/li>\n
  • Artwork must be original. Original artwork is defined as such that it is unique in concept, design, and execution.<\/li>\n
  • Artists must be willing to loan their piece to WonderWorks to be displayed in the facility. Each piece will be displayed in a lockable frame.<\/li>\n
  • If your work is selected, you must be willing and able to drop off your piece at WonderWorks or ship it to the location. The same rules apply for pickup.<\/li>\n
  • WonderWorks reserves the right to photograph any artwork displayed.<\/li>\n
  • Teachers submitting work on behalf of their student(s) are asked to limit the number of similar submissions. We ask that teachers submitting work from an in-class unit submit a maximum of 5 pieces per unit\/theme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Prize:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Winning submissions will be on display in the WonderWorks art gallery for a year. Winners will also receive four complimentary tickets to see their work on display in the gallery.<\/p>\n
