NASA Journey To Mars

Three, Two, One…Blast Off!
WonderWorks Launches NASA’s Journey to Mars

WonderWorks hosts NASA exhibits exploring their new Space Launch System

WonderWorks has teamed up with NASA to showcase, in a one-of-a-kind installation, the amazing science of astronomy and the planets as NASA prepares for their Journey to Mars. The new SLS and Orion will launch on a solo endeavor without occupants from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida in 2018. The crafts are set to take astronauts farther into space than ever before and improve life on Earth with new technologies and economic opportunities. This temporary exhibit will give a glimpse into NASA’s upcoming journey and feature life size models of the space crafts and a virtual reality journey to mars where participants get to experience the SLS and Orion Spacecraft up close. All the exhibits will be manned by NASA staff to guide you on your journey.

To make the event out of this world, on Saturday guests will get to meet an astronaut! Alongside NASA’s new exhibits, NASA’s very own Captain Robert “Hoot” Gibson  will be giving presentations, spending time speaking to guests one on one, posing for photos, and signing autographs.

  • The intergalactic weekend kicks off on Thursday, Oct 5th and runs through Sunday, Oct 8th
  • Captain Robert “Hoot” Gibson will be at WonderWorks on Saturday, Oct 7th from 11am to 4pm.

Guests who purchase any WonderWorks ticket combo will get to visit with Astronaut Captain Robert “Hoot” Gibson and check out all of NASA’s amazing exhibits. WonderWorks is honored to host NASA and share the exciting details on their journey to Mars.
